Ceasefire and Negotiations for Tigray

I am contacting you on behalf of Tigray Action Committee, Jewish World Watch and the people of Tigray.

The violence in northern Ethiopia is back to its highest levels. The Ethiopian government has procured drones and missiles from foreign actors including Turkey and the UAE which is leading to the continued ethnic cleansing of Tigrayans. On top of daily drone attacks, the Tigrayan people are facing, gang rape, torture, forced starvation and many more heinous human rights abuses. 

Earlier this week, the Tigrayan government called for peace and a negotiated end to the war. As a response, the Ethiopian government has dropped several bombs in densely populated cities including the capital of Tigray, Mekelle. 

As your constituent, I strongly encourage you to push for a negotiated end to this war. The Ethiopian government must join in peace talks, end the fighting and start negotiations. The lives of the nearly 6,000,000 people of Tigray are hanging in the balance. We need your help.

By pushing negotiations, you'd have the ability to support those living in the Tigray region and civilians throughout Ethiopia who are suffering during this year-long conflict.
